Alto Apachita – 4,192m

This tiny pass is the highest point between Achacachi (Bolivia) and Juliaca (Peru) on the road round the east and north shores of Lake Titicaca. It’s an easy cycle on gentle gradients and the ripio surface is fine. The scenery is pleasant enough, though in the vicinity of the pass there are no views of Titicaca or any snowy mountains.
