Region XV, Chile
This little pass is the highest point on the road from Visviri to Tacora, and when coming from the east is just before General Lagos. Although there is not much climbing to do to the pass, there are a few extremely steep sections which make it harder work than it otherwise would be. The road is totally free of traffic and though this is not one of the Andes’ more spectacular passes, the views of Volcan Tacora and other mountains on the Chile-Peru border are nice enough.
