If it’s not blowing a gale this is a nice easy pass in the south-west corner of Bolivia. The gradient of the road when coming from Laguna Blanca is never steep, the surface is not too bad and there are good views looking back to Lagunas Blanca and Verde and many volcanoes including Licancabur and Juriques. The surface on the descent is worse (though if going in the opposite direction it’s still easily rideable), but the strange Piedras de Dali rock formations are not far off the road to the east.
