The 1900m climb from Picoy to Punta Chucopampa is pretty brutal – it’s long, has many sections at over 10%, and if you cycle after there’s been recent rain, the surface at the top can be muddy. It’s on a nice remote route however, and the road is only used by the odd motorbike.
